Industrial Crimping Tools for Aerospace Wiring Systems

AeroConnect Industries, a Tier-1 aerospace wiring harness manufacturer based in Wichita, Kansas, approached ZeYue Tools in 2022 with a challenging requirement: precision crimping pliers capable of meeting MIL-DTL-22520 specifications for aerospace-grade connector terminals. AeroConnect produces wiring harnesses for commercial aircraft including Boeing 737 MAX and Airbus A320neo programs, where failure is not an option.

ZeYue Tools custom-engineered a line of ratchet crimping pliers featuring micro-adjustable crimp depth settings (0.01mm increments), hardened Cr12MoV steel jaws with titanium nitride coating, and ergonomic dual-compound grips rated for 8-hour continuous use. The tools underwent a 6-month certification process including 200,000-cycle endurance testing, salt spray corrosion resistance (ASTM B117, 96 hours), and pull-force validation on 22-10 AWG terminals.

Since full production approval in early 2023, ZeYue Tools has delivered 120,000+ crimping tools across AeroConnect's four US manufacturing facilities. The tools have achieved a 99.95% first-pass yield in terminal crimping operations, reducing rework costs by an estimated $280,000 annually. ZeYue Tools maintains a dedicated production cell for AeroConnect with full lot traceability from raw material to finished tool, meeting AS9100D aerospace quality requirements.

The partnership expanded in 2025 to include custom tool calibration fixtures and a consignment inventory program at AeroConnect's Texas facility, reducing tool replenishment lead time from 14 days to same-day availability.
